Softball Recap: West Craven Takes a Loss

West Craven managed to slip by Swansboro the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The West Craven Eagles came up short against the Swansboro Pirates on Tuesday, falling 22-3. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Morgan Jarman was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

West Craven's record now sits at 0-2. As for Swansboro, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Craven is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against Pamlico County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Swansboro, they will challenge Ashley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Swansboro's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
