Soccer Game Preview: Firebaugh vs. Avenal + How To Watch

The Firebaugh Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Avenal Buccaneers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Firebaugh took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Tranquillity. Firebaugh have beaten Tranquillity the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Tranquillity has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Avenal has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 7th. Neither they nor Coalinga could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Avenal have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2025.

With that draw, Avenal's record moves to 7-18-3. As for Firebaugh, their win bumped their record up to 14-11-2.

Firebaugh got the 'W' when the teams last played two weeks ago against Avenal by a conclusive 5-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
