Volleyball Game Preview: Haslett Vikings vs. Eastern Quakers

Haslett is a perfect 4-0 against Eastern since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will host the Quakers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Haslett's tournament run continued when they took on Eaton Rapids two weeks ago. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Greyhounds.

Meanwhile, Eastern also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Waverly by a score of 3-1. The Quakers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Eastern had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 18-25, 25-21.

Haslett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Eastern, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Haslett's way against Eastern in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Haslett made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Quakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
