Sonora had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 4-14 to make it four. They lost 13-4 to the Ripon Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 two weeks ago.

For Ripon's part, Angelina Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Martinez has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Alana Hernandez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Townsend, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
