Baseball Recap: Garfield-Palouse Makes It Six in a Row at Home

While Garfield-Palouse's victory against Tekoa-Rosalia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings skirted past the Timberwolves 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since April 12th.

Cooper Parzuchowski was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Preston Olson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Garfield-Palouse pushed their record up to 8-6-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coming up, Garfield-Palouse is taking a road trip to square off against Dayton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tekoa-Rosalia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
