Shadow Ridge benefitted from Langley in 11-1 win
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Jack Langley stepped things up a notch to give Shadow Ridge the 'W'. Maricopa had no answer to Langley as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk).
Langley's strong effort led Shadow Ridge over Maricopa and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Langley has dominated as far as earned runs are concerned (he's averaged 0.8 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Maricopa has only allowed 4.65 per game this season.
