Softball Recap: North Jackson Takes a Loss

North Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-0 to the Plainview Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in March.

North Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11-1. As for Plainview, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 22-6 record this season.

North Jackson will challenge Marion County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Chiefs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plainview, they are taking a road trip to face off against Skyline at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
