Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jackson Academy Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 8-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

St. Joseph Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin McElwain, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another was Parker McKenzie, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

St. Joseph Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Jackson Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.

While St. Joseph Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
