Soccer Game Preview: La Marque vs. Brazosport

La Marque hasn't had much luck against Brazosport recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The La Marque Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Brazosport Exporters at 10:00 a.m. La Marque has given up an average of 5.1 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

La Marque is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Needville, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 786th, while the Bluejays are ranked 276th).

Meanwhile, Brazosport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Sweeny.

Brazosport now has a losing record of 10-11. As for La Marque, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
