Baseball Recap: King's Academy Takes a Loss

King's Academy lost against Christian Academy of Knoxville last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lions came up short against the Warriors, falling 10-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gensley Ryan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. He has become a key player for King's Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one home run, but 5-11 otherwise. Chelton Jones was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6-1 record this season.

King's Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Lenoir City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Frankfort at 6:00 p.m.
