Softball Recap: Colonel Crawford Takes a Loss

Colonel Crawford blew Buckeye Central out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Buckeye Central got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Bucks by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Aubrey Betts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.6 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, Colonel Crawford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylie Hoepf, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Colonel Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Buckeye Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
