Burke County entered their tilt with Josey on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 80-37 win over the Josey Eagles. That looming 80-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.

Burke County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from La'Quinton Morgan, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to six assists and three steals. De'Quayvian Lovette was another key player, going 7 of 17 en route to 17 points and four steals.

Burke County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Burke County's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Josey, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Burke County will take on Butler at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Burke County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Butler likes a good challenge. As for Josey, they will face off against Thomson at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Thomson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
