Homestead and Fremont are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Homestead Mustangs will welcome the Fremont Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Homestead is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since January 4th on Friday. They fell just short of Monta Vista by a score of 53-50.

Meanwhile, Fremont came up short against Saratoga on Friday and fell 69-58. While losing is never fun, the Firebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 727th, while the Falcons are ranked 321st).

Homestead's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4. As for Fremont, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Homestead beat Fremont 42-32 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Homestead have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fremont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
