Basketball Recap: Kaden Matthews Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Wilson Central

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Smyrna ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Wilson Central Wildcats by a score of 66-57. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-60 two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Smyrna to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Matthews, who went 6 for 14 en route to 13 points and eight boards. Elliyon Kinzer was another key player, putting up 13 points and six rebounds.

As for Wilson Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against LaVergne at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LaVergne will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Wilson Central surely won't give up without a fight.
