Softball Recap: Geneva Comes Up Short

Geneva fell victim to St. Charles East and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Fighting Saints, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in April.

Geneva has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for St. Charles East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-8.

Geneva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Charles East, they will square off against Schaumburg at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Saints' pitcher better be ready for this one: the Saxons have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
