Basketball Recap: Savannah Takes a Loss

Savannah lost against Beach back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Savannah Bluejackets came up short against the Beach Bulldogs, falling 55-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bluejackets have suffered against the Bulldogs since December 8, 2020.

Beach found their leader in sophomore Mariah Reid, who posted 36 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Reid has scored at least a third of Beach's points.

Savannah dropped their record down to 5-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Beach, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Savannah will take on Bryan County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bryan County will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Savannah surely won't give up without a fight. As for Beach, they will face off against Johnson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
