It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Edward can now relate to. They lost 18-2 to the Marquette Crusaders on Wednesday. The Green Wave's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

St. Edward got a good showing from Joseph DuSell, who struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). DuSell has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, St. Edward saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Wojtas, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

St. Edward's loss dropped their record down to 5-27. As for Marquette, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-3.

As of now, neither St. Edward nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
