Baseball Recap: Patagonia Comes Up Short

Patagonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Duncan Wildkats, falling 9-3. If the Lobos were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Wildkats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Patagonia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Woods, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Those two runs gave Woods a new career-high.

Patagonia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Duncan, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patagonia will head out to face off against Ray at 3:45 p.m. on April 5. As for Duncan, they will challenge Miami at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Duncan is facing Miami at the right time seeing as Miami is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
