Volleyball Recap: MMI Preparatory School Comes Up Short

MMI Preparatory School lost against Pittston back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. MMI Preparatory School lost 3-0 to Pittston.

While MMI Preparatory School ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Alexa Fazio paced MMI Preparatory School's offense, picking up eight kills. Fazio got some help from Shreeya Parikh and her 11 assists. Parikh was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

MMI Preparatory School now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pittston, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. MMI Preparatory School will square off against rival Tunkhannock at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pittston is set to face off against their familiar foe Greater Nanticoke Area at 4:30 p.m. on the 11th.
