Soccer Game Preview: Hinsdale Central vs. Sandburg

The Hinsdale Central Red Devils will take on the Sandburg Eagles in a tournament on Monday. Hinsdale Central has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 20 goals over their last three matchups.

Hinsdale Central's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Geneva 4-0. Give Hinsdale Central's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

They hit Geneva with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Caitlin Doherty, Adriana Giannini, Avery Edgewater, and Charlotte Peterson.

Meanwhile, Sandburg fell victim to Hersey and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 6-0. Sandburg have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hinsdale Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five matchups. As for Sandburg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-1.
