Sun Valley Magnet and Valor Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2022, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sun Valley Magnet took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Valor Academy hadn't done well against Lake Balboa College Prep recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Thursday. Valor Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Lake Balboa College Prep. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Valor Academy.

Valor Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Lake Balboa College Prep into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, 15-13.

Sun Valley Magnet pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Valor Academy, their record is now 3-5.

Sun Valley Magnet took their win against Valor Academy when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
