Basketball Recap: Pleasant Hope Pirates vs. Dadeville Bearcats
The Pleasant Hope Pirates lost to the Dadeville Bearcats back in February of 2023, but the Pleasant Hope Pirates didn't allow the Dadeville Bearcats the same satisfaction on Thursday. Pleasant Hope managed a 51-45 win over the Bearcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pleasant Hope.
Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chayse Coose, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aidan Jarman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Pleasant Hope pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Dadeville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.
Pleasant Hope will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dadeville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
