Baseball Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss

The Monte Vista Monarchs came up short against the Palmer Trinity Falcons on Tuesday and fell 12-9.

Orlando Rupley stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Reuben Cabugwas, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Monte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Palmer Trinity, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Monte Vista didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Clairemont on the 26th. As for Palmer Trinity, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-5 victory against St. Anthony on the 27th.
