Soccer Game Preview: Palmer vs. Golden

The Palmer Terrors will venture away from home to challenge the Golden Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Palmer is headed into the contest having not lost since April 8 and will look to keep things rolling. They and Canon City finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

Aryana Sanders and Skylar Angelidis scored both of Palmer's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

Meanwhile, Golden entered their tilt with Summit on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Give Golden's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Golden pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. Palmer's draw makes their record 9-1-4 this season.
