Milwaukee Lutheran piles up the points against Shorewood

Recap: Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights vs. Shorewood Greyhounds

The Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 82-50 win over Shorewood. Given Milwaukee Lutheran's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Shorewood is ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Milwaukee Lutheran was led to victory by Isaiah Allen and Makhai Jewell. Allen scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Jewell scored 22 points along with three steals. Jewell hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Xavier Allen, who scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals.

Milwaukee Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Shorewood, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milwaukee Lutheran will take on New Berlin Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Milwaukee Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for Shorewood, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cudahy at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Shorewood is facing Cudahy at the right time seeing as Cudahy is stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
