Baseball Recap: Canyon Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Canyon took on Southside on Saturday. The Cougars fell 7-3 to the Cardinals. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Southside, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12.

Coming up, Canyon will challenge San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southside, they will take on South San Antonio at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
