Basketball Recap: Henderson Lions vs. Center Roughriders
Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 85-34 loss at the hands of the Center Roughriders. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1397th, while the Roughriders are ranked 344th).
Tim Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Center, going 10 for 11 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of JaKevin(Tiki) Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.
Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Center, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
When Henderson and Center next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Henderson will try to stop Chapel Hill's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Center will try to stop LaPoynor's four-game winning streak when the meet at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
