Basketball Recap: Newmarket Piles Up the Points Against Epping

Newmarket won the last time they faced Epping and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Newmarket Mules took their contest with ease, bagging a 51-7 victory over the Epping Blue Devils. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

The win (which was Newmarket's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points per game. As for Epping, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newmarket will take on Hinsdale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Newmarket's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Hinsdale has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Epping, they will square off against Holy Family Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Family Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Epping surely won't give up without a fight.
