Baseball Recap: Tucker County Takes a Loss

Tucker County fell victim to Tygarts Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in April.

Tucker County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Helmick, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Tucker County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Tygarts Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Tucker County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tygarts Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Harman at 6:00 p.m. The Bulldogs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
