Softball Recap: Harlan County Comes Up Short

If Harlan County was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Harlan last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Black Bears came up short against the North Laurel Jaguars on Monday, falling 11-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Black Bears, who until this matchup were averaging 3.77 runs allowed.

Harlan County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Adams, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Adams' first of the season.

Harlan County's loss dropped their record down to 18-16-1. As for North Laurel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 29-6.

As of now, neither Harlan County nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
