Basketball Recap: Stockdale Takes a Loss

Stockdale was the 54-39 winner over Luling when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Stockdale Brahmas fell just short of the Luling Eagles by a score of 40-37 on Tuesday.

Luling's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayden Flores led the charge by putting up 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaime Gomez, who posted ten points and four steals.

Stockdale has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 19 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Luling, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-16.

Stockdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-35 victory against Nixon-Smiley on the 14th. As for Luling, they have also already played their next game, a 52-48 win against Yoakum on the 18th.
