Basketball Game Preview: Eldred Yellowjackets vs. Fallsburg Comets

The Eldred Yellowjackets will take on the Fallsburg Comets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eldred has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Eldred is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost 62-40 to Tri-Valley on Friday. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Fallsburg hadn't done well against Chester recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Comets had just enough and edged out the Hambletonians 38-35.

Fallsburg's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Eldred, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything went Eldred's way against Fallsburg in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, as Eldred made off with a 51-31 win. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
