Basketball Game Preview: Monarch Coyotes vs. Silver Creek Raptors

The Monarch Coyotes will head out to challenge the Silver Creek Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monarch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.7 points per game this season.

Monarch is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since February 9, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past Fairview 63-60. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Logan Laverty was his usual excellent self, going 13-for-25 en route to 34 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. He has become a key player for Monarch: the team is 7-3 when he posts at least 20 points, but 5-6 otherwise. Aden Clark was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Monarch was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairview only racked up eight assists.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Longmont on Thursday and fell 58-55. The Raptors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monarch's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points over those games. As for Silver Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
