Soccer Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Robinson

Robinson proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat the Fairfax Lions by a goal, winning 2-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Robinson's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Fairfax are ranked 249th).

The win was the fourth in a row for Robinson, bringing their record up to 6-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Fairfax, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robinson will head out to face off against Chantilly at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfax, they will venture away from home to square off against South County at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
