Softball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

Bartlett managed to slip by Covington the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bartlett Panthers lost 19-5 to the Covington Chargers on Thursday. The loss leaves the Panthers still looking for their first win of the season.

Bartlett saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avalyn Wylie, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Covington, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Bartlett will take on Northpoint Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bartlett has given up an average of 15.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Covington, they will challenge Gibson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
