After a string of four wins, Warren Township's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Libertyville Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16.

Shayla Ray paced Warren Township's offense, picking up three kills. Ray got some help from Lyla Christensen and her six assists. Christensen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Warren Township's defeat dropped their record down to 14-21. As for Libertyville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Warren Township and Waukegan will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Libertyville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
