Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Prospect's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Prospect won the last time they faced Oak Grove and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers walked away with a 9-4 win over the Eagles.

Ethan Roth was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Roth was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kevin-Joseph Rieden, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. Prospect is undefeated when Rieden posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Wang, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Prospect always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Grove only posted an OBP of .364.

Prospect is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Oak Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
