Basketball Recap: Bismarck's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Bismarck had lost five straight headed into Saturday's matchup, but Austin Dunlap didn't let it get to six. The Bismarck Indians secured a 54-50 W over the New Haven Shamrocks on Saturday thanks in part to Dunlap, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 26 points in addition to six boards and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times he's played.

Bismarck's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for New Haven, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Bismarck will take on Valley in a tournament on Tuesday. Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Bismarck likes a good challenge. As for New Haven, they will face off against Vienna at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th.
