Lakeland Christian came out on top against Discovery on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run second inning. The Vikings blew past the Spartans 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Lakeland Christian got a massive performance out of Presley Young, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Emerson Tyler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Lakeland Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Lakeland Christian moved to 10-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Discovery, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Lakeland Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-8 win against Davenport on the 14th. As for Discovery, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-1 defeat against Haines City on the 15th.
