Soccer Game Preview: Fannin County vs. East Hall

The Fannin County Rebels will head out to take on the East Hall Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Fannin County fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Dade County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-2. Fannin County's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, East Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Cherokee Bluff. While losing is never fun, East Hall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Cherokee Bluff are ranked 85th).

Fannin County's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for East Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Fannin County couldn't quite get it done against East Hall in their previous matchup back in March of 2019 as they fell 2-0. Can Fannin County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
