The Cedar Creek Pirates were the 62-51 winner over the Bridgeton Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Cedar Creek took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bridgeton on Wednesday. Cedar Creek's loss keeps them winless this season.

Bridgeton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zikwon Anderson led the charge by scoring 16 points along with three steals and three blocks. Anderson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameel Purnell, who scored 15 points along with three steals.

Cedar Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bridgeton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Cedar Creek will head out on the road to face off against LEAP Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. LEAP Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Bridgeton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Absegami at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Absegami and Bridgeton are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
