Basketball Recap: St. John's S Takes a Loss

St. John's S was the 68-46 winner over Randolph-Macon Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The St. John's S Saints took a blow against the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets on Saturday, falling 73-40.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Randolph-Macon Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Negussie, who went 8 of 13 en route to 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tega Esievo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

The win made it two in a row for Randolph-Macon Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

St. John's S will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northern Virginia HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-33 victory against Wakefield Country Day on the 9th.
