Soccer Recap: Morgan City Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Morgan City after they claimed the first goal on Saturday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Terrebonne Tigers by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Morgan City of the 6-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Diego Vazquez, who's now up to four this season.

Morgan City's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7-3. As for Terrebonne, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morgan City will venture away from home to square off against Bourgeois at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Terrebonne, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Terrebonne face off against the Covenant Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Covenant Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Terrebonne surely won't give up without a fight.
