Baseball Game Preview: Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms vs. Lyle/Pacelli Athletics

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms will head out on the road to challenge the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Blooming Prairie fell victim to Lourdes and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Eagles. The match marked the first time this year in which the Awesome Blossoms were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Lyle/Pacelli came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons as they made off with a 29-2 win. The Athletics might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Blooming Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Lyle/Pacelli, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Blooming Prairie couldn't quite get it done against Lyle/Pacelli in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 as they fell 6-3. Can the Awesome Blossoms avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
