Basketball Recap: North Mac Takes a Loss

North Mac managed to keep up with Nokomis until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The North Mac Panthers came up short against the Nokomis Redskins, falling 76-52. The Panthers have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Nokomis was led to victory by Natalie Brownback and Kinley Stolte. Brownback went 8-for-17 to rack up 20 points and five assists, while Stolte dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Stolte is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 53% in the last five games she's played. Alivia Sabol was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 15 rebounds.

North Mac's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Nokomis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

North Mac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-35 loss against Auburn on the 15th. As for Nokomis, they have also already played their next contest, a 66-32 win against Edinburg/South Fork on the 18th.
