Soccer Game Preview: Carlsbad vs. Point Loma

The Carlsbad Lancers will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Point Loma Pointers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Carlsbad's offense. They fell 2-0 to Mater Dei on Friday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Point Loma kept a clean sheet against San Dieguito Academy on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Mustangs 1-0. The Pointers' winning goal came courtesy of Allie York.

Point Loma now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Carlsbad, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
