Football Game Preview: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Weld Central Rebels

The Brush Beetdiggers are taking a road trip to square off against the Weld Central Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Brush comes in on seven and Weld Central on three.

On Friday, Brush humbled Fort Lupton with a 54-15 victory. With the Beetdiggers ahead 41-3 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Ritchie Bruno had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 177 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Dylan Krob was another major influence, as he rushed for 21 yards and ran in a TD.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Weld Central against The Academy on Saturday as the squad secured a 44-13 win. Considering the Rebels have won five matchups by more than 30 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brush's record now sits at 7-0. As for Weld Central, their record is now 5-2.

Brush ended up a good deal behind Weld Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 14-0. Thankfully for the Beetdiggers, Marcello Rossi (who rushed for 90 yards and one score, and also picked up 62 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
