Basketball Recap: Irvin Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Irvin can now relate to. They lost to the Riverside Rangers on the road by a 55-41 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Irvin lost, don't look at Keanu Timoteo. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Anthony Badajosa was another key player, putting up seven points.

Even though they lost, Irvin was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. This was only their fifth loss (out of 16 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Irvin's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Irvin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverside, they have already played their next game, a 91-51 loss against Randall on the 20th.
