Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Central Noble

Central Noble won the last time they faced Westview and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cougars' pitcher stepped up to hand the Warriors a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kierra Bolen was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Deter, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Central Noble kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win (which was Central Noble's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Westview, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Noble will welcome Whitko at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Westview, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lakewood Park Christian at 5:30 p.m. The Warriors are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
