Basketball Recap: Thorp Comes Up Short

Thorp was the 74-40 winner over Abbotsford when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals lost 67-46 to the Falcons on Monday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thorp's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Abbotsford, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.

Looking ahead, Thorp won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Stanley-Boyd at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Orioles have now posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for Abbotsford, they will challenge Pittsville at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
